We are so proud of this BEAUTIFUL new space for people to meet, collaborate, learn, problem solve, dream and change the community for the better! This state of the art conference center would not have been possible without the dedication and support of Tom Uhler and Corey Vertich. We are beyond grateful. We can’t wait to see all the happy faces visiting our United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades David Lucas Campus who will benefit from this incredible gift!
United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades has unveiled a newly renovated conference room at its office on Concourse Drive in Fort Myers, creating an upgraded space designed to better serve the organization’s 90-plus partner agencies and the Southwest Florida community.
The renovation was made possible through the generous support of local donors Tom Uhler and Corey Vertich, whose investment funded significant upgrades to the meeting space. The renovated space, with a capacity of 125 people, now serves as a large, flexible room that can be divided into two fully soundproof meeting areas, allowing multiple groups to gather simultaneously. Improvements include updated technology, featuring a Q-SYS networked audio, video and control system on a single platform, along with a 137-inch screen and a 13,000-lumen laser LCD projector.
Also added were modern furnishings and a refreshed design to provide a more functional and welcoming environment for collaboration, training sessions, board meetings and workshops.
The upgraded conference room will be available at no cost for use by United Way’s extensive network of partner agencies, offering a central gathering place where nonprofit leaders can connect, share ideas and strengthen coordinated efforts to address the community’s most pressing needs.
By investing in this shared space, Uhler and Vertich have helped expand opportunities for organizations working to improve lives throughout Southwest Florida.
“This renovation is about more than just improving a room – it’s about strengthening our community partnerships,” said Jeannine Joy, President and CEO of United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades. “Thanks to the generosity of Tom and Corey, our partner agencies now have access to a modern, collaborative space where they can meet, plan and work together to create meaningful change across Lee, Hendry and Glades counties.” United Way continues to focus on fostering collaboration among its partner agencies to improve education, financial stability and health outcomes throughout the region. The newly renovated conference room reflects that commitment, providing a shared space that supports innovation, cooperation and lasting impact.
