Lisa & Greg of our Hendry Glades office shared the following photos and information:
Greg and I went to the Re-Grand Opening of the Goodwill Thrift Store and Community Resource Center in LaBelle Wednesday morning. Goodwill Joblink will no longer be in the LaBelle United Way House. They are rebranding the Joblink Centers to Community Resource Centers and LaBelle is the first location in this pilot program. Their space is beautiful and they also expanded the thrift store. So happy for Fernanda Geronimo that came from their Lehigh location as a program participant and volunteer and now is a full time employee as the Coordinator for this Center.
We have plans for the Joblink office at LaBelle United Way House to update the space and make it a full time counseling space for the LaBelle Outreach staff for ACT. This move will allow more space for rotating offices for additional agencies to come into the building. We are already talking with Family Initiative who is interested in expanding to Hendry and Glades as well as a position for Big Brothers Big Sisters for Hendry County.
